I bought this because I thought it would be cute and funny to have. I hadn’t expected much, but it is amazing! It has tons of recipes and beautiful pictures! It even has a fun spin on all the ingredients and instructions, plus a bunch of alcohol free drinks in the back that look like they taste absolutely amazing which is super hard to find. So excited!
So I thought this book was really fun and actually bought it for my 4yr old son for his birthday bc he is currently obsessed with wizards, magic, dragons, potions, etc. So for my particular case I wish the recipes were for a wider range of people and not just for adults with more sophisticated palettes (like a magical twist on macaroni and cheese somehow). Also some of the recipes seem a bit chanllenging for the average cook but nothing I don’t feel I can’t take on. My two biggest complaints that really irk me though are that a lot of recipes call for items you have to get at specialty grocery stores and a couple of the recipes called for ingredients without giving the measurements.Overall the book is an awesome concept and I like how it is written and I wish those two or three recipes lacking measurements could be fixed. But this book is definitely more suited for a magical adult dinner than it is for kids.
On a cool Michigan afternoon this bewitching cookbook arrived. I purchased this book thinking I’d find a recipe or two for next month Halloween festivities but am excited to find that I will cook, bake, and eat myself through October.What a great find and a wonderful gift to share!
The hair on my arms stood up when I found a recipe from one of the old D&D novels I read as a child. So many lost memories came flooding back to me.
Beautiful photography and a wonderful sampling of recipes from Narnia to Middle Earth, and back again. The only recipes I found out of place were the Smurf ones, which did seem to fit oddly next to werewolf biscuits, butter beer, and the white witch's turkish delight. Overall, love it! Striking in appearance, with recipes I can't wait to try to boot.

While the recipes, for the most part, are easy to follow, this is not, a children's cookbook - adult supervision will be needed. The graphic designs, the quality of the paper and the sturdy hardback cover makes a very attractive book. The Wizard's Cookbook is unlike any you will have on your shelf and is a great addition for any cook's library. It makes a unique gift for almost anyone. Feel the magic as you use it!
Our niece loves cooking and magic. Voila! But the recipes were definitely challenging.
This book is absolutely beautiful. It's wonderfully made. There are a ton of recipes to choose from, some quite unusual to me. I'm just beginning to learn how to cook, so I am super excited about this and I'm loving everything I'm learning.
