Book 6 of the Night Terror saga finds us back in Night Terror'sPOV, and things are not going well. While she has her girlfriendback, after a fashion, the whole alien invasion thing is a downer(she usually tries to stop those at the Kuiper Belt, fighting oneon Earth is much more difficult). To top things off, she, NightTerror, the Greatest Villain Earth Has Ever Known is arrested bythe new powers-that-be and thrown into Supermax. To make matterseven worse, she doesn't have her super-suit, her sidekick, or herconfidence. While Supermax isn't as bad as it could be (NightTerror is a bit disappointed that some of the Cinemax aspects ofprison life aren't true), the place was known to be as revolving-door-ishas Arkham, yet she still can't get out for some reason.While Natalie tries to snap out of her funk and come up with a cunningplan, the invasion is spreading out from Starlight City, and the onlyhope may be.. her fellow inmates.I liked this one pretty well. Though the prison setup strainseven comic book suspension of disbelief, it didn't quite break itfor me given the other things we have already seen. I did thinkNight Terror went down too easily in the initial fight, though shewas dealing with a lot of unexpected "issues". It's still not clearwhat Dr. Lana's messing around with Natalie's mind means. PerhapsDr. Lana is not really dead? (That's a guess, not a spoiler).
Yet another fantastic volume in the Night Terror series. Natalie gets taken by surprise by not one, but two ex-girlfriends showing up at the head of an invading army. Will she figure out what happened to Fialux and save her? The story just keeps getting better.

Excellent story, interesting characters and plot as usual - and the cliffhanger - leaves me waiting for book 7
I always love and hate when Mia Archer releases a new book in this series. They're fantastic but it means I'm sort of dead to world until I finish reading it.As much as a I liked the last release from Fialux's perspective, Night terror is just such an amazing character that I couldn't wait for this book to come out.Without spoiling too much, Fialux has returned to Starlight City and immediately clashes heads with Night Terror resulting in NT being thrown in prison minus all her toys.While I can't tell how much longer this series will go on, nor am I, in any way sure where it will lead. So once again I now have to sit and stew on the possibilities and hope for a speedy release of the next installment.
The writing is okay, but the story felt like it was added just pad out the length of the series. Nothing really happens that moves the overall plot very much and quite frankly it's getting dull- move the danged story along already, I'm getting sick of page after page of Night Terror pining for her girlfriend.
Overall I found this one much darker, but that could be because I just finished it. Of course Night Terror does contemplate what she might be forced to do about Fialux on more than one occasion, so maybe not. I'm still hoping Fialux can be saved, but we'll have to see. Good cliffhanger.
Been following this series from the 1st book and this book continues to surprise me with plot twists and story line! I urge you to pick up the 1st book in the series and come along for the ride because as of book number 6 the awesome story continues!
